Keely Cameron is an experienced legal counsel with a strong business foundation, advising clients on complex restructuring and litigation matters. She has extensive experience assisting clients navigate Alberta's oil and gas regulatory regime, including licensing, environmental liability and transfer issues, as well as understanding regulatory obligations during insolvency proceedings.

Keely previously worked at Alberta's Energy Regulator (AER), where she gained end-to-end experience across the full lifecycle of oil and gas development—from permitting and compliance to remediation and reclamation.  She was counsel for the AER on the landmark Supreme Court of Canada decision involving Redwater Energy; the leading case on how environmental liabilities need to be addressed in an insolvency.

Her work has earned multiple accolades, including the Litigation Management Award at the 2019 Western Canada General Counsel Awards and the Canadian Public Relations Society Bronze Award of Excellence 2019 for Canadian Issues/Crisis Management Campaign of the Year – Redwater Response. Keely is a three-time recipient of the AER Regulatory Excellence Award and was recognized with the Canadian Lawyer InHouse Innovatio Award in 2018 for excellence in litigation management.

In 2024, Keely was selected as part of the Canadian delegation to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Working Group on Insolvency Law. She has appeared before the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Keely has also contributed to legal education as a former instructor of Administrative Law for the University of Calgary’s Foreign-Trained Lawyers Program.

In 2024, Keely received her ICD.D designation as an Institute of Corporate Directors (Canada), Institute-certified Director.
