Stewart advises TSX and TSXV listed companies and private investment enterprises with a focus on mining and resource industries. He has extensive experience advising clients with respect to corporate, securities law and resource issuer matters. His transactions include public offerings of debt and equity securities, plans of arrangement, mineral property options and royalty agreements, corporate governance, related party transactions, private acquisitions and divestitures, venture capital investments and private equity investment structures.
As an in-house counsel in the past, he handled all the legal affairs of several reporting mining companies. Stewart is past chairman of the B.C. Securities Commission Security Policy Advisory Committee, a committee providing security advice to the Commission. His past experience includes over three years as a securities regulator and several years as chairman of the Junior Mining Committee of the B.C. & Yukon Chamber of Mines.
Stewart has spoken at mining and investment conferences on matters relating to mineral property agreements, securities law and private equity investments. His continuing education includes extensive mining and prospecting courses.
