James Morand is a corporate tax lawyer with 30 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, financing, restructuring and dispute resolution.

Jim offers clients considerable experience in the reorganization of financially troubled companies. He advised on many complex restructurings. His most recent experience involves significant cross-border M&A transactions in the cannabis sector.

He is consistently recognized as a tax law leader by Canadian and global legal directories. He speaks, writes and comments on important trends in tax that affect businesses in Canada and internationally.

Jim was previously chair of the taxation group at a national Canadian law firm.
