Carlota is an International Trade and Investment Specialist. She joins the international trade and investment practice of Bennett Jones after several years working at another Canadian law firm.
Carlota has deep knowledge and extensive experience working on matters of concern to Canadian importers and exporters, including customs and trade remedies (anti-dumping and countervailing duties and other special tariffs). In particular, she has substantial experience in trade remedy matters, having spent 21 years conducting investigations and preparing accounting analyses for government and business clients in a broad range of industrial and commercial sectors.
Carlota is also an internationally trained and accredited professional accountant and brings these special skills to bear in helping to advise clients on their international trade compliance obligations, and to resolve Canadian regulatory disputes.
