Stirling Wood practices corporate and securities law with a focus on mergers & acquisitions, annual securities filings, commercial real estate and general corporate/commercial issues. His experience includes acting for public companies in M&A transactions, including share and asset purchases, reverse takeovers, amalgamations and plans of arrangement.
Before becoming an associate at Bennett Jones, Stirling worked as legal counsel for Canada's largest private liquor retailer, assisting with a range of matters including commercial leasing, regulatory compliance and employment and helped grow one of the largest recreational cannabis retail chains in Canada. During his articles, Stirling completed a secondment at the Bennett Jones office in Calgary.
