The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade Energy Forum

December 1 and 3, 2020

Bennett Jones was proud to present The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade's Energy Forum. Global trends such as technological acceleration, geopolitical shifts, deglobalization and financial distress are presenting new challenges and opportunities that are changing our energy landscape. This year's forum explored how global trends are impacting planning, investment and strategies across the energy sector—including traditional and renewable sources—and shaping the future of energy.

Session 1: Powering B.C. and the World

This panel will focus on the future of natural resource development and transportation in Canada. Panellists will discuss the impacts of innovation, balancing consumer needs with energy development, and gaining market access for Canada's resources. The discussion will also cover Environmental, Social and Governance Goals (ESGs) and will include a lens on ensuring a sustainable investment climate.
